Description: Cosponsored by CTL and Albertsons Library
Good research is not easy and many students don’t know where to start searching when faced with an overwhelming information landscape. Some students have difficulty identifying relevant and authoritative information to inform their work. Others might struggle when attempting to respectfully incorporate an author’s ideas and cite sources.
This workshop discussion will be facilitated by faculty from Albertsons Library and will involve a panel of faculty from across campus. The session will focus on problems encountered in the student research process.
The discussion will be prompted by these questions:
- When and where do you see students get stopped or stuck while conducting academic research?
- How can educators work together to develop student research skills and promote information competency?
Hopefully, I will see you there....
